The Beatles Are Coming Home to Liverpool
Apple Corps is taking over The Beatles Story and developing an enormous 100,000-square-foot official Beatles experience in central Liverpool, scheduled to open in 2028. The attraction will move from Albert Dock to the former St Johns Market site opposite Lime Street station and will be more than four times the size of the existing museum. The Beatles
Visitors will travel through recreated Beatles history—including postwar Liverpool, Hamburg, The Cavern Club, Abbey Road, Shea Stadium and Savile Row. Particularly interesting: sets and props from Sam Mendes’ forthcoming four Beatles films will become part of the attraction. Liverpool’s St Johns Beacon will separately become a Yellow Submarine-themed 360-degree viewing experience. The Beatles
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have both publicly welcomed the plans. Every Beatles Story ticket will also contribute to the new Apple Corps Liverpool Trust supporting emerging Liverpool artists and cultural projects.
