It’s no secret that The Beatles were inspired by the rock and roll music of the 1950s, with their own sound having started out as something of a tribute to the idols they were listening to in their adolescence.Of course, there were also elements of what was happening in their local area that seeped their way into the music that the band were making in their early years, with Merseybeat and skiffle being prominent genres performed in the Liverpool clubs that they began frequenting once they were of age.
