Sir Paul McCartney has said Oasis made the biggest mistake of their career when they claimed they were going to be bigger than the Beatles.Noel Gallagher made the claim during an MTV interview in 1996 – but McCartney said the statement was the “kiss of death”.Speaking to Q the former Beatles star said: “Oasis were young, fresh and writing good tunes.
