A local music archivist is remembering a classic Beatles performance.Friday marks 60 Years since the band performed live on the Ed Sullivan Show.That broadcast thrust the band into superstardom in the U.S., with millions of people watching. Musician and archivist Eddie Collins holds a massive collection of classic records – and Beatles memorabilia.He says he watched the show on T-V as a kid, “I watched it on Avril Television in Prospect Park, Pennsylvania. We had a little portable there, I started eating ice cream and I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and seeing. The next day, like everybody, all the other kids in America, I wanted to play the drums like Ringo or another instrument.”
