How The Beatles Are Releasing Their ‘Final Song’ | TIME

The Beatles will release their last song together as a group on Nov. 2, the band announced on Thursday. Titled “Now and Then,” the song will feature contributions from band founder John Lennon, who was murdered in 1980, and lead guitarist George Harrison, who died in 2001, via AI technology and archival guitar recordings, respectively.“There it was, John’s voice, crystal clear,” Paul McCartney said in a statement announcing the release. “It’s quite emotional. And we all play on it, it’s a genuine Beatles recording. In 2023 to still be working on Beatles music, and about to release a new song the public haven’t heard, I think it’s an exciting thing.”
