You “can’t buy me love”, but you can surely buy Swedish tarts in Semaphore! Sir Paul McCartney was allegedly spotted indulging in a treat earlier today, just hours before the soundcheck for his much-anticipated Adelaide concert.Observers couldn’t help but think that the tart might just be Paul’s “ticket to ride” into a fantastic show on Wednesday. For those not in the know, McCartney, a titan of rock and roll, is a former member of The Beatles, arguably the most influential band in music history. His songwriting partnership with the late John Lennon has given us timeless classics, with McCartney’s own contributions as a vocalist, bassist, and pianist central to the band’s iconic sound. McCartney is in Adelaide at the start of his Australian tour, the city where The Beatles made history in 1964 on their first visit to Australia. Back then, an estimated 350,000 people lined the streets between the airport and Town Hall to catch a glimpse of the band.
