Music is all subjective, a matter of taste, but the Beatles are as objectively good or as universally beloved as any musician is ever likely going to be. Collectively, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison (and their guiding producer and arranger George Martin) have sold more albums than anybody ever has; have amassed more No. 1 hits in the U.S. and in the U.K. than any other band; and are responsible for so many elements and tropes of rock ‘n’ roll and pop music.
