After signing with their manager Brian Epstein in 1962, the Beatles removed drummer, Pete Best, replacing him with Ringo Starr.Following this, the Fab Four were concerned with securing their first number-one single. They endured a few failed attempts, but by 1963, they were on to something.However, it all came crashing down when they attempted to work with another British songwriter. John Lennon and Paul McCartney were hard at work on their new single, From Me To You, in the summer of 1963 – but they were having trouble finishing it off.
