The daughter of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney and Linda Eastman, Stella McCartney was a public figure long before she became a celebrated designer. There are paparazzi pictures of Stella as a babe in arms, wearing a ribbed-knit onesie, patch-pocket cords, and T-strap Mary Janes, and carrying a doll-sized valise at her side. All of which suggest that style, as the old adage goes, is something you are born with. Of course, having groovy parents doesn’t hurt, either.
