Queen Elizabeth II, who is celebrating her 70-year reign, was the protagonist of different meetings with rockers. Several of them were in protocol events or decorations. One of the first and most remembered is the visit of the Beatles in the mid-’60s to Buckingham Palace.

On October 26, 1965, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison y Ringo Starr they arrived in the Rolls Royce for the delivery ceremony in the great throne room. The musicians would be decorated with the Order of the British Empire. In those days, the Beatles were finishing the edition of Rubber Soul which would come out in December of that year.
