Sean Ono Lennon, John Lennon’s son, opened up about his father’s affair with Yoko Ono while they were married. During this time, Sean enjoyed a hit song written by John. Sean then expressed his feelings about the relationship.

The affair was not a “dark time” for John Lennon, according to his son.

Sean discussed many of his father’s songs during a Rolling Stone interview in 2020. Sean mentioned that John wrote “#9 Dream” during his “Lost Weekend,” when he had an affair with his personal assistant, May Pang, during his marriage to Yoko Ono. Sean observed that John was critical of “#9 Dream.”
