English media personality Christine Hamilton has called for the House of Lords to be “swept away” ahead of Paul McCartney peerage.

Speaking to Dan Wootton, Christine Hamilton discussed whether celebrities should be given peerages.

She said: “I feel like to sweep away the whole House of Lords. It’s totally different from other honour.

“It’s a legislative chamber.

“And I just don’t think that should be given to celebrities just because they’re celebrities.

“The House of Lords is packed with deadbeats and cronies and time-serving civil servants and politicians that need radical reform.”

She added: “The House of Lords needs a lot more diversity.

“For example a few more anti-woke people. A few GB News people.”
