In 1970, the year the greatest rock band in the world officially broke up, the movie Let it Be was released. The movie painted a very biased picture of what actually happened while The Beatles recorded their famous album. Since it was released during all the conflict that took place during the band’s separation, the director Michael Lindsay-Hogg decided to focus on the tensions that eventually led to the dissolution of the group rather than the good time they had recording. That’s one of the reasons Ringo Starr doesn’t like the film. (While John Lennon, famously, hated the titular song itself.)
