After the Beatles broke up, John Lennon expressed concern about Ringo Starr.

THE BEATLES disbanded in 1970, ending the greatest band of all time, but John Lennon was concerned for his buddy and bandmate Ringo Starr after everyone began focusing on solo projects.

After releasing 12 studio albums and traveling around the world, the Beatles decided to call it quits in 1970. Following that, each member of the band began work on their respective records. John Lennon’s Plastic Ono Band began releasing songs, Paul McCartney’s solo album McCartney was released, and George Harrison was working on All Things Must Pass. Ringo Starr had yet to discover any genuine commercial success, and Lennon was determined not to let him down.
