Like every big city, London has a homeless problem. From January to March of this year, more than three thousand people slept on the streets of England’s capital.

The Streets of London is a charity that raises money to help support people who are experiencing homelessness in London. The money also helps to raise awareness about homelessness. One way they raise funds is through celebrity actions.

Eric Clapton is not a stranger in raising money to help charities. He was one of the main artists that played at George Harrison’s charity shows “The Concert for Bangladesh”, in 1971. He has also hosted six versions of the Crossroads Guitar Festival, which raises money for the Crossroads Center, a drug and alcohol treatment center in Antigua, which Clapton helped to fund.

When Clapton heard about this fundraiser, he looked for a way to help. After being off the concert touring circuit for more than a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Clapton has announced his latest series of concerts. One of them will be held at London’s Royal Albert Hall on May 8, 2022. He donated tickets to be raffled off, with the proceeds going to The Streets of London.
