John Lennon’s Hand Written Lyrics Sell For 350K – The Interrobang

The hand-written page on which John Lennon wrote the lyrics to “Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite” has sold for a reported $354,000 at an open auction. The lyrics are for the classic Beatles song from 1967’s ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. Also sold was a 1970s guitar owned by Elvis Presley which sold for $334 thousand, Elvis’ first piano (150K), and a jacket owned by Michael Jackson (256K).  Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Fender Broadcaster, failed to find a bidder, as did Lady Gaga’s first piano. Probably because it was covered in meat and dressed in an ornate wig.Read more at bbc.com.
