Rare footage of The Beatles larking around backstage has been released.The never-before-seen 49-second clip of of George Harrison, Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Ringo Starr in a make-up studio ahead of a television performance in Manchester was released by the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA), who described it as “really rare”.The black-and-white silent film clip was shot on November 1, 1965, with an 8mm camera belonging to Australian dancer and make-up artist Dawn Swane, who was working at Granada TV in Manchester at that time.
