MGM Grand NetSpot CampaignsLas Vegas Casinos are world renown for their marketing and customer retention skills. In 2001 MGM Grand Las Vegas hired McCartney to make e-mail marketing more interactive. At the time only text and graphic emails were sent through email pieplines.We saw an opportunity and created the firstNetSpotĀ®. We took basic Flash design and created animation, measured interactivity through action scripting and tested our user interface design (UI) by constantly keeping consumer acceptance in mind. The created NetSpots arrived in the users email inbox and through programming we could track open rates, clicks, impressions and preference behavior.
In one case, MGM Grand Garden Arena had a line up of 6 shows that needed promoting. We packaged 6 individual shows in one container NetSpot (click graphic above to view NetSpotĀ®) and immediately after the email went out, we had stats on which entertainer sparked the most interest. For our client this was heaven sent because we took the guess work out of where they should put their valuable advertising and marketing budgets.
